Pack of Surfing Dogs Rides a Single Board at San Diego's Dog Beach

A group of athletic canines turned heads at San Diego’s Dog Beach on July 22, riding the waves together on a single surfboard in a moment captured on video.

The viral footage shows around 10 dogs of various sizes and breeds balancing impressively as they glide toward shore, sharing one surfboard.

While it's unclear why the dogs were riding together, the moment sparked curiosity and smiles online.

David Janampa Ramos, who filmed the scene, told Storyful that although he’s witnessed dog surfing before, he wasn’t certain if this was part of an official event.

“We actually have some dog surfing events year-round in San Diego,” Ramos explained. “I guess some people are training their dogs for the contests!”
